This two-way design combines 165 mm (6.5 inch) mid-bass driver with a 25 mm titanium dome tweeter in the ultra-rigid iW UV stabilized ABS chassis. The main mid-bass driver boasts long-throw, high efficiency motor system. Its clean and open midband performance is further enhanced through the smooth transition to TANNOY’s Wideband tweeter unit.

First developed for high-end hi-fi loudspeakers, TANNOY’s wideband technology uses innovative materials and processing to extend the break-up modes of the tweeter into the very high frequencies. The working, linear performance of the tweeter can then be extended out to over 50 kHz, allowing playback of harmonics outside of the audio band that improves the sense of engagement and enjoyment of the music. The iW 6 DS is fitted with a front mounted HF energy switch allowing fine tuning of the HF output by +/-1.5 dB.
