Orders and PaymentsHow do I create an account with Hi-Fi Express? Simply add selected item(s) to cart and click "Checkout". New customers will then be prompted to create an account during the checkout process.
What payment methods are accepted? Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Payment will be processed online during the checkout process.
Is your payment processing secure? Yes - Hi-Fi Express utilises Securepay & ANZ ePos to delivery the highest level of security possible for online payment processing. Our webserver is highly secured by GeoTrust and RapidSSL certificates. More information about Securepay.
Can I check availability of items before ordering? Yes - Stock availability is displayed on each product page. If the item is marked as "In Stock" or "Low Stock", dispatch will usually occur within 48 hours. Otherwise, please contact us to obtain an estimate of when the item can be dispatched. The item may be in stock, however we are unable to advise availability for some items that are shipped directly from our suppliers. Can I cancel my order?
If your order has been paid, orders can only be cancelled if there are unexpected delays on delivery of your goods.

Can I check the status of my order or review past orders? Yes - Please go to My Account to view your order history. You can view previous orders, or check the status of open orders. However, you will receive an email when you order, and when the status of your order changes, for example when your item is shipped.
How are gift vouchers purchased and redeemed?
Gift Vouchers are sold in fixed amounts ($25, $50, $100 and $200) and any number of vouchers can be purchased in one transaction. If you would like to redeem a gift voucher, you simply need to enter your gift voucher details when asked upon checkout. Why is my Shopping cart empty when I click 'Checkout'?Some customers may find they add an item to their cart, however when they click 'checkout' the item is not in their cart. If this happens, this is likely due to your security settings. Our site requires use of cookies so your web browser 'remembers' what you have added to your cart. The Credit Card Verification (CCV) Number is printed on your credit card and provides you with extra security. The location of the number varies from card to card:
- Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard - Several digits are printed in the signature area on the back of your card. The last three digits make up the CCV Number.
- American Express - Above the card number on the front of the card are four non-embossed digits. They make up the CCV Number.
Delivery
Will my items be delivered securely? Yes – All items require a signature on delivery for security purposes, and you will be advised a shipping number for most shipments so you can track your shipments location online. Australia Post delivers most items under 20kgs, and we have partnered with leading freight providers including TNT and Toll Priority to deliver larger items. Goods may be delivered by road or air. What happens if items are damaged or lost in transit? Unlike many retailers who do not offer insurance or charge a high additional amount for insurance, Hi-Fi Express includes FREE shipping insurance on all orders.
Thus, you are protected in the rare event of any losses or damages occurring during transit. If you receive a damaged shipment, please reject the delivery and contact us immediately. Hi-Fi Express will make an insurance claim for any losses or damages, and will replace or refund your item subject to the claim being approved by the relevant insurance company. How much does delivery cost? We offer discount shipping rates, and for most products, we use your postcode to determine what delivery zone you are in, so we can calculate the best possible shipping prices for you. View your cart to calculate shipping costs for these items. Some items have a fixed shipping price. If so, this will be shown before you add the item to your cart. You also receive a great saving on delivery costs, through our free shipping insurance applicable to all items. How long does delivery take? Items in stock will usually ship next day. Once dispatched, please allow courier delivery time of 1-2 days for metropolitan areas, and up to 5 days for rural areas. If an item is not indicated as “In Stock”, it will usually be delivered within 1 week for Games, CDs, and DVDs, and within 1 - 2 weeks for electronics and computer products. We will notify you of any delays if stock is temporarily unavailable. If not indicated as in stock, and you require your item within a specific time-frame, we recommend you contact us prior to ordering to obtain a specific delivery time estimate. Where can items be delivered? We can ship to any physical address in Australia, and can also deliver some items to PO Boxes. All items needs to be signed for on delivery, so please select a delivery address that is usually attended. If Australia Post is delivering your items, and the delivery address is unattended, a note will be left with instructions for arranging re-delivery or pick-up.
ReturnsWhat is the 7-Day Hi-Fi Express Replacement Guarantee? If you're item in faulty upon arrival, or develops a fault within 7 days from delivery, Hi-Fi Express will replace your item where possible, otherwise you can return your item for a refund. Please contact us to obtain a return authorisation prior to returning goods. Returns will not be accepted unless we have issued a return authorisation. Please contact us immediately if your item is faulty. Hi-Fi Express does not accept responsibility for faults which are not reported within 7 days from delivery, however Manufacturers Warranties will protect you from faults for at least 12 months.
What do Manufacturer Warranties cover?
All of our products are sold with a full Australian Manufacturers Warranty. Specific terms of warranties vary depending on the product or manufacturer, however they all provide protection against defects or faults for at least 12 months.
